Ripped pants, an old green golf polo covered with previous painting splashes, and a white bandana around my hair... I was ready to go. Can't really deny any redneck ties looking as I did. Taking plates off the wall, removing doors, filling holes, sanding - all in which led us to the final goal - painting.
Two months and a bit later of debating over colors - we finally just picked one. Togther with my roomie, we spent two days totally redoing our apartment living room. What was once a serious disgusting smoke yellow... has now been completely transformed. It doesn't even feel like the same place. We're not sure if it's tan or green...? I know, how is that possible.. it is. Trust us, it is.
I feel so proud of us girls... we DID it!!! All by ourselves!!! We even fixed our main front door that didn't shut properly unless helped with our generous hips...haha. Next on the ajenda is our bathroom!! That'll be alot easier... now that we have one room under our belt...we feel like we can do anything! The last painting project will be my room - my two panelled room - white and smoke yellow - blah. It's so groos. Oddly laid out room with tons of character and potential.. just need another two months to determine colors. JK! My new roomie-to-be will be very helpful!
We're feeling quite liberated in our new place - yes - we are two very independant woman - who can do it! Yep - we can - we are. Who needs boys? JK - I like boys....
Any suggestions on the bathroom? We're thinking three walls white with a bold accent color on one wall...??? Burnt orange? Purple? Other?

How about deep purple, like eggplant, then crome/silver accents?
Don't get too high on those paint fumes!
Does your bathroom have windows? If not go a lighter shade ...no-one likes a dark bathroom...unless it is peeing in the middle of the night. just a suggestion;)
good for you. I haven't painted my place yet and it's been almost five months. yikes.
