There is something so special, so deeply meaningful and so refreshing about being with good friends and family. I spent the evening catching up and laughing abundantly with my 'second' family. They are so very dear to my heart. It is isane to me that over time and even over distance I continue to be incredibly moved by their compassion, concern and generous hearts. It oddly shocks me to watch my own heart grow fonder and fonder for these people. I often have been one to keep great distance or build wonderfully constructed fortress walls. The irony lies in that I continue to pray and seek for a heart that loves like He does. To be able to be full of an unsurmountable (word? dunno) love for others.

I continue to be amazed at the community that God has placed me within. I feel so honored and blessed to have such a high caliber of friends and even family. I'm continually being challenged by them, and that's significant to me... I like to grow, to pursue growth, to change, to be changed by Him.

It's a different holiday season, which will prove to be both interesting and entertaining. I'm sure I'll have some good stories... so stay glued... haha.
