Funny story, so today I'm cleaning this little ol' lady's place as usual. Nothing out of the norm. I'm putting down the mat in the bathroom, only I stand up too fast and too close to the corner of the counter. SMACK...I nail my head on the corner. I grab the counter as I feel myself falling to the ground. I look in the mirror...and oh my, I'm bleeding. I gave myself a stinkin' concussion and have a goose egg to prove it. Oooo...my head. How dumb am I? haha.
Once again my fascination with Moses and also the burning bush is fueled. I love that Moses - seen as such a great man of God, had doubts in himself and his own abilities. I love the rawness and realness of his character. Amidst the power of God, revealing himself to Moses in the burning bush and laying out Moses' destiny...Moses still questions God. "Who am I to speak such things? I can not speak well." God rebukes him - "Who gave you your mouth Moses?" Think about that. Think about what God is saying to Moses by asking him this.
Seriously, why is it that even while we seem to be facing the very things that God has called us to, or is giving us glimpses of, we doubt or put up our fears? He gave us what we have, He created us, He is the one who is calling us to these destiny pieces... it isn't us, it's Him.
Fears are funny to me...(k, not really, they really disarm and hinder me). Amidst my own struggle with all of my fears, I am affirmed tonight that fear is not from God. We all know the verse in 1 Timothy. Though there are elements of being unsure about something, I want to be a woman who looks fear in it's face and rebukes it...and dares it. Who challenges the fear. Like a warrior..not that I'm a warrior yet, but like one. If a warrior is in battle and fears...his/her tendency is to run the other way, yet if they stop and instead of going on defense take the offense, they are more powerful!

"feel my egg. Can you see my egg? Feel my egg. I have an egg." Now not only do you have to watch out for bedframes, but bathroom counters too? come on.
