It's a new year... A new year with new beginnings. A new year with new happenings. A new year to dare to be true to myself and my creator. A new year to be a better friend, a better sibling and a better daughter... maybe even a better 'ahem - girlfriend'. haha.
It has been a long time since I've felt so optomistic of my life, of my future, of my being. God has truly graced me with new eyes and a new change in heart. I love each day that I awake, anticipating the day and days to come. I long to sleep quickly to arise to see what the new day will bring with it. I wrestle with concepts, ideas and notions on life that draw me deeper into His presence and word. It's a new year... a good year... with new amazing possibilities and adventures to be had.
One such adventure of recent - apartment shopping - has left me shaking my head at the amount of time and work is necessary. Regina was easy - pick a location and boom... all you need and want. Here rental properties aren't quite what they seemed to be back in little ol' Regina. We chuckled today as we dared to risk the possibility of maybe one such place having much character within, despite the sketchy outside appearance -> shouldn't judge a book by its cover right? in this case... wrong. I was so bold to answer the typical repetative question of "So, what do you think?" with this... "umm.. yeah, needs quite a bit of work eh? Not sure this is suitable enough for us... thanks anyways." Laughing as we entered our car and drove away, watching what seriously must've been a slum lord pull up and away in an overly expensive SUV that seriously cost more then the building he was renting out...haha.
Oh the joys. On the brighter side of apartments... I'm excited to be living back in the old apartment downtown with Faye. It's so great... close to work, close to Safeway, close to the classic eclectic 17th Ave. In the heart of downtown amongst all the entertaining sketchy folks. Stories galore we share and will share. We are considering staying in the building. Just moving across the hall.. possibly upwards in height though. We'll see. We're not done shopping, but wow, after a full day of looking, it looks like what we have is a suitable fit for us for the time being.
It feels soo good to be growing up. Doing life with good friends. Pursing the hearts delights and daring to go after the dreams of old and even new. I love my work - I do. The pay kinda sucks, but the people are great... the atmosphere is fun... and seriously the Chai latte's don't hurt one little bit. Unless of course you fear kidney stones..muhahaha.
News to be shouted out - My sister is engaged!! I'm so happy for her! My neice (her daughter) has picked June 17th as the date... I do hope they choose it as well. How sweet would that be to pick your own mother's wedding date..haha. My little Princess Lexie, what a joy.
Due to the move and upcoming move I'm a bit out of the loop from this form of communication and shotgun emailing is all that's available to me at the moment.. but stay tuned... it won't be long till I'm back in the full swing. tee hee.
Drop a voice call... you know the number.. and if you don't you should really find someone who does...
Peace and Joy upon your new beginnings and adventures.
