Fun, fun, fun, is all I can say to explain the weekend of late. I feel so revitalized and anticipating tomorrow. It was such a blessing to connect with deep friends, old and new. It was even more exciting to have groups of friends clash, uniting what often feels like my two worlds.
I set out Monday morning for Calgary with the LifeForce Thailand Team. Two hours into travels my cell began to ring off the ringer. Six voice mails later and a few friendly texts I realized that perhaps the roads weren't so good. Hard to tell sitting in the very back of a 15 passenger van - sleeping!
However, in Swift I switched vehicles to accompany a friend in her car. Maybe, maybe 10 minutes outside of Swift we hit the ditch! Yep...we did it... our little Hyundai Accent felt the need to remove itself from the skating rink under us and travel through the ditch...until it just didn't want to go any further. haha. Graciously and so kindly two gentlemen stopped to help. After a few minutes of unsuccessful pushing, they decided to pull us out with their truck. A little concerned for Brandy's car...I reluctantly watched them attach our car to their truck. With a little slippage, we finally were pulled out of the ditch onto the skating rink.
By this time, the LifeForce crew had circled back to find us. After some deliberating I decided to stay with Brandy at her parents in Swift and try again the next day. What a wild adventure!!
Today seemed equally entertaining... as we made our travels back... we stopped in Medicine Hat. Shooting the breeze, nothing out of the ordinary, talking to a stranger.... I was shocked to be asked for my number in Calgary... ?? wha?? Why does this awkward wierd scenarios occur to me... too funny. We laughed all the way home... not just because of that..tee hee.
It's good to be back. To dry, snowless, chinook weather! Yes...be gone snow storms...be gone.
Thanks for all your calls and concerns friends and family... it was deeply felt and I feel so honored that you cared so much to be so concerned!

Glad to hear you made it home safe and sound (and with a stranger's phone number, how romantic. Do let me know how that works out! hehe) My parents drove east in the same storm and decided to spend the night in Swift. They just about didn't get a room and by 3pm, they were all booked out in the city. Crazy weather! Can't say that I miss it. Nope, not at all. Enjoy the land of Chinook for me!
